Getting started with Projects

Projects is where you will find all the active and completed projects on the system. Before you can create tasks on the system you must create a project.

Once you have created a project you will be able to view the project dashboard

The project dashboard has the following features:

  1. The project title
  2. The project details - The client it belongs to, the date it’s due and the team members assigned. Team members automatically appear here as tasks are assigned to them.
  3. Project Budget remaining monitoring card - This displays the total amount of time remaining from the projects allocated budget.
  4. Active task time remaining monitoring card - This displays the total amount of assigned active task time remaining on the project.
  5. Progress monitoring card - This displays the project progress and shows a percentage of active tasks versus the total number of tasks created within a project.
  6. Task Overrun/Underrun monitoring card - This indicates how your tasks and team are performing.

A task overrun indicates that your team is requiring more time budget than allocated to tasks which could lead to project overrun and extra costs.

A task underrun indicates that your team is performing better than expected and is completing tasks with less time budget than what was originally allocated to tasks.

  7. Activity - This displays all activity within a project to keep you informed of what has happened within your project.
  8. Project controls - Here you can edit your project, set it as complete or delete it.
  9. Tasks - This is where you can create and view all tasks associated with this project.
  10. Timeline - This is a visual timeline of all scheduled tasks within a project.
  11. Reports - This is where you can get more detailed information on how your project tasks and team are performing.
